I took the first photo with the camera right down almost on the ground I was using s and timer. The others are just paint shop pro B&W and sepia and the last one I did using portrait setting the one upside down was not flipped in paint shop pro but the way I took the photo just trying to have some fun and see what I come up with.

Yup. It's a tree.

Don't fret! We all did this in the beginning!
Clouds should be the next progression.
Then sunsets.

LOL Thanks BJ

Your welcome!

Keep in mind, where a lot of us are coming from when you are asking for C&C.
There isn't much to say about our pictures of trees. They are what they are.
They are not thought provoking. They don't have much impact. They seem random.

I will say good for trying a unique perspective.

Have you done any reading up on elements of design and composition, that I suggested?
When you start understanding that part of photography, and start applying it, you will get much more valuable C&C, and grow much faster.
Just like our trees!

Thank you BJ. No I have not read yet not that I did not take on board what you suggested I am going to do a course but need to get a few more $s together first and now I found that Rats have been eating my car ( Don't laugh ha) so that will now take priority I'm also need to find out if our local T. A.F.E here does course or not I need to get my butt into gear and give them a ring to find out or I might better due to my health to try an online course as I might have troubles in a class room. But anyway that is all getting of track but I will google like you said and have a read I thank you for your advice and information and ill take it on board for sure. I did have a little giggle when you said Yup its a tree ( well at least he could see it was a tree) LoL it was funny have a good day/evening I am just trying out different things and Ill just keep trying to get things right.

I use to take photos to see how much detail I could obtain. I'd post and ask for c&c and I'd get very rude replies. Started to realize that there is more then just nailing the exposure and being able to look at dust on an ants foot. Read EVERYTHING you can about composition and your photos will take life. You can take a photo of a tree and create intrigue.. If done properly. Keep shooting and you'll learn every time you press the shutter

I'm not trying to steal your thread, just giving you examples of tree shots that have (IMHO) a little more interest. As Bitter mentioned, they're trees. Fortunately they are still almost everywhere, but on the down-side, they are rather weak subjects. Clouds are rather boring as well. Both have to have something pretty unique about them to be of any real interest outside of the photographer who took them. Practice, practice, practice. Look, look, look. You'll find something interesting before too long.

thanks for your advice
