Tripod advice

Hi

I want to get myself a tripod and wondered if there are any makes I should avoid or any advice on a good one. I am looking to spend about £50 to £70.

cant help you with a make at around that price, but stay away from plastic parts...make sure they are all metal, strong and built with stability, and that all the parts move smoothly..no jerking movements..also good levelling mechanisms...best really to try them out yourself...good luck.
