tripod query

Every time you want to take a picture, do you circle the camera to fix it on the tripod? Or do you have some sort of a slider, with which you can easily slide in and out to use the tripod?

I have a quick release plate that screws into the camera body and locks into place on the tripod head.

Quite a few tripod heads have this option.

Okay. My tripod is a Quantaray QSX 8001.
Hope I can find one quick release plate for it.

If the head can be removed you should be able to get a head with a quick release plate.

I have a quick release head and plates for each commonly used camera. On the large format gear I've just bolted the QR plate on for good.
