Tripod

I was thinking of buying this for $145 (link - Rollei). But am a little concerned about the weight.. Is it common for a carbon fiber tripod to be around 2260g grams in weight ? Its gonna be my 1st carbon fiber tripod.

To heavy, or to light? The same tripod made of aluminum would likely only weight about 500g more.

The one you linked to looks like it also includes a ball head, which adds weight.

The lighter a tripod is, the less stable it can be, so there can be a point of diminishing returns.
