Troubleshooting Nikon D90

I have a Nikon D90 with a Tamron 18-270 zoom lens. Recently the camera has been freezing up and not shooting when set between 18 to 35. Took it to the camera store. Lens works fine with other Nikons, camera body works fine with other lens. Contacts, etc. cleaned. Perplexed. Any one run into this problem and know the solution?

This type of situation is what can happen with reverse engineered, 3rd party stuff.

I recommend you contact Tamron service.
