What's new

Trying to figure out how to get my pictures this way...

Hmmmm...that's not the color at all. Could my lighting be effecting this?

Shoot an 18% gray card.

I wish I knew what that meant, but I don't. Oh well! It was worth a shot. I had a feeling my limited photography knowledge would make what I want to difficult!

A grey card is an industry standard shade of grey. Every camera store sells them.

Notice I said camera store. Not Best Buy or WalMart Electronics.

They're cheap...... Maybe a buck or two. Take a photo of one under your lighting setup, and that will help us tell you more about your lighting.

OK. I will try and get one and then just take a picture of it against my background? Easy enough. Thanks!

That's all it takes. Just include it in a photo, using the exact lighting you use for taking the clothing pix. So easy, even little kids can do it!

It is poor form to post images you do not own the copyright to, is a violation of forum rules/regs Photography Forum & Digital Photography Forum FAQ, and may also be copyright infringment, a violation of US Federal law.

Your product is to close to the background and the camera's white balance should be set to it's flourescent setting since you are using that type of light. The gray card is used to more precisely set the white balance in post processing.
