I like the water lilies but not so the zinnia. However, I would be inclined to zoom in on a single lily.

Get on level with the first shot. Shooting from the viewpoint we see from everyday can be boring.

the colors I see on your first shot are undersaturated and drab on my mointor, I know the water Lilly is very vibrant having shot quite a few myself

I would love to do that but it was in the middle of a huge pond and that's as far as i can zoom with my kit lens Lol
