Birds are tough to do, of course unless you're Kirk/ Dr. Doolitttle, who has flocks of all kinds of birds jumping in front of him at close range, for attention.
But for guys like you and I who have to go out there in camo, sit around and wait, while the gnats and mosquito's attack with impunity, maybe get a shot , or maybe not, it's hard.
Based on your efforts and knowing how tough this is, you get a like from me. You did well.
The only thing I can see that I would have done differently would be a tad lower down on exposure compensation.
But thats not a knock against anything. And I'm not good enough to critique anybody's work.
Oh , and the Woodcock is THE shot.

Lowering the EC will do nothing to the image since I raised the exposure for both images.
The first image the bird partially back lit so in order to see any detail it requires raising the exposure and shadow.

P.S. I've only done camo once. Almost got ran over....not worth it.
