Two quick shots from today

Went out to shoot a few pics at a walk path today. Unfortunately, I forgot to grab the battery that was on the charger. I was just starting to get loose when I ran out of battery. I think I will return to this location though, had some good graffiti with nice lighting.

Something about the lighting seems off to me. Did you use your camera's pop up flash, or have a speedlite attached to your camera? The key/fill light looks very flat to me, and really isn't flattering to the model.

I think #1 would have been a stronger image if shot with short lighting; I think the pose & expression, even though they're a bit unusual work, but #2 just seems too dark to me.

I like pic#1; pic#2 is a bit dark.
