I'd like the first shot more without the star.

#1 ... doesn't do much for me...

#2.. model looks unhappy or something.. pose is kind of skanky for a Xmas shot, although someone like an auto body shop might buy them... just my opinion.

They're really trashy. I take it that's what you were going for?

#1 is a mess for me. First, I don't understand what the girl is wearing. The white skirt up to her chest is just weird and not very flattering. The top doesn't really go w/ the skirt, it has a country feel to it and the skirt is more modern. After all that I can't really get a feel for the photo. I want her to be a sexy something. Oh and get rid of the star or figure out a way for it to relate to the picture.
#2 Naughty Santa...I got it.

#1. The lighting on the model isn't great. It lights up her body well enough, but the ratio is too high for the shot. The post isn't great, it's not flattering to her head/face. Her face & hair are much too dark. I agree with the previous comments about the clothing....just not working. The star is much to distracting. The post-work (cutting out the model etc.) is not good.

#2.
The model is brighter, which goes with the white background & holiday theme better...but she's too bright. Her hat, hair & maybe her face have blow out areas.
The post isn't great and the model's expression doesn't really convey 'Happy Holidays'. Again, the background graphics are overpowering the subject.

In addition from what's already been said, here are my observations:

1. I'm not a fan of trimming out the background on people...it really looks rough, especially around her hair. Too many shadows on her face...either relight it, or have her move her arm. Her left toe appears to be "up" which is weird looking, especially when the background is trimmed out, since you really can't tell. NAILPOLISH! In a pic like this, I feel like it would make sense if her nails and lipstick were chosen to coordinate with her shoes. Perhaps bring up your reds a little in post...they look a little pale. The model looks like she is carrying her upper body weight with her right arm. I'd suggest her to arch her back a little more...use her midsection to hold her upper body up, then her arm would look more relaxed...this all contributes to a more natural pose.

2. Aside from the exposure/lighting problems, I don't like the perspective on this shot. You're obviously shooting somewhat close and standing. This creates a vertical perspective that makes her look like she has short legs. Shoot from her midsection or lower if you're shooting close...depending on what looks best from your shooting range. (or move back and use a telephoto, then the perspective affect is reduced) IMO, blondes are harder to shoot than brunettes (less contrast), so definitely make sure you're not overexposing...you need the contrast. (if she were brunette, the [over] exposure wouldn't be so terribly obvious.)

Don't mean to be a hammer...just my opinions! ;)
