UK meetup day 1 teaser

This really needs to be the new avatar for Hertz, he could be called The Terminator, or The BANanator:

If he does we need to add this smiley

It will go with his multiple personalities  he can be the BANanator, and the BANANAtor!

oh.........my.

Oh great! I'm Disco Banana. Now no-one will take me seriously ever again.

I just knew going to the meet-up was going to be bad for my image...

Tempra: thank you.
I sure like your photo of me taken in that bar a lot better than I like the one that Hertz took... that one *big swallow* ... that one ... Fortunately he put it into the wrong day thread, by mistake.

Here I've got a nice little addition to make to all the photos that were taken in the Cross Key Bar in Saffron Walden, which was the fourth of the bars we went to in that one Saturday alone ;). I made a little collage out of them:

Hertz might come to learn that one can also take nice photos of friends!!!!!!!

ok so finally I've found this thread :) I just uploaded my pics on my pc so give me a few minutes to resize and then beware: you may get smashed with the tones of pics I took on the meet-up :) but firstly a few memories:

Rob picked me and Magda from London with his brand new and georgeous BNW, which I love. He was speeding on the wrong side of the road and with a steering wheel on the wrong side - same as Graham... hmm something's wrong with you guys :P We got lost once or twice even with Rob's cool navigation... (btw. Rob, do you remember "square" sound :p). We appeared at SW hotel at 10.40 more less and we met Chris (PlasticSpanner) and Royster. Chris recognized me and that is how we met :) Then Hertz came and the rest of the gang. We drank coffe and waited for Ben. Then... walking, shooting, visting pubs and so on... then dinner... thank you guys for buying me and Magda fish and chips :) it was very kind of you. And the fish was really tasty but sooooooo huge! It was definitely bigger than my stomach :)
Then another pub and loads of pictures and fun... Tempra - you know, I love your 50 mm lens... look at pics of Rob taken by me :) they are really nice :)
and in the evening when we had to leave SW, Rob drove us through London. London at night is really great! but why the heck you have to be 21 to enter the pub???? pffffff so finally we ended somewhere in Islington and drank a beer ... Thanks Rob :)
I'd love to meet you all again and I hope I will :) now it's time for pics... 5 minutes please :)

LaFoto what are you trying to do to people, scar them for life?!?!? :lmao:

Why do you ask that? Don't you like those? I really do! Honestly now!

Here are some of Mentos's photos, also put together in a collage, and taken in the same venue, i.e. the Cross Keys Bar in Saffron Walden, and she MUST have tonnes of photos herself... so hurry up, your five minutes will soon be over! ;) :greenpbl:

OK, Mentos is still taking her time... so in the meantime here is my "Tempra-Collage" from the Cross Key Bar in Saffron Walden:

Now I go to the swimming pool to collect my daughter and after that I expect to see some photos up here, Mentos! (;))

Hey Mentos, the *minimum* speed limit is 130mph in the UK, didn't you know? "Turn left at the square" was one of the better offerings from the sat nav (it was a roundabout). "Perform a U turn" was another favorite - a five car convoy synchronised about-face on a national speed limit country road has to be some kind of record.

For some reason the guardians of Upper Street in Islington weren't keen on our exotic threesome, so we had to resort to Highbury instead where notions such as over 21's are not entertained. Still at least we managed to scrape one last beer in before closing time.

It was a great day, thanks to all for coming and being surprisingly normal IRL - the number of internet and photography events I've been to where the people have been... well.... GODDAMN FREAKS. None of that with TPF though!

We'll have to try for a US or another European meet some time soon, it's definitely worth the effort.

Rob

Oh, thank you so much for these photos, Mentos! At least two of you decided to get nice photos of me.
Do any of you have any more of my sister, by the way?
