Nice shot! I would have liked to seen the car with some flash, since it appears to be the subject here as a large foreground object. Giving the car natural color and exposure against that awesome sky would have been beautiful.....

Not too crazy either, but the aurora is a fleeting phenomenon so you use whatever you have available when it shows up

This is southern Manitoba.

This was a 30 second exposure, at f/4 and ISO 1250. A firing flash would've been a disaster But I definitely know what you mean.

Thanks, Actinometro. The tone is the photographer's choice, much like adding a warming filter to shoot a sunset. That being said, feel free to edit the image to show your vision.
