Unknown Mark in Frame

Hi! My name is Brendan and I am new to photography. I have an old Pentax K1000 Asahi and was using Ektar 100 colour negative film when I took the below picture. Two out of about a hundred pictures was like this, so I'm not super worried. But I am curious what caused it. Is this a light leak? It doesn't look like the pictures I saw online of light leaks. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

YES!

Thats because different light leaks look different.

Was this the first frame by chance? Does it only show up in the photo or across the entire negative?

Id second a new light seal kit

That reminds me of tape ... meaning when they cut the film leader off they (the lab) took a lot off, and when they attached the leader tape it touched the part of the first frame ... thus that small part did not get developed ... this theory would only be apparent if it happened only on the first frame.
