why are you still shooting jpg?

I don't know where that assumption came from. I don't shoot JPEG. Because they were uploaded in JPEG, you think I shot it in JPEG? That's rather naive. The original files are NEF's, and the files these are converted from are actually 16 bit .png Files... if TPF would allow larger files, that's the same format they would have been uploaded from. However, I've had trouble getting images to upload larger than 1.5MB here. So, they were converted to an 8 bit JPEG before upload.

it had more to do with talking about selecting the "improper" wb and the effect on the final picture. I assumed this was in camera (where WB matters if shooting jpg) and not done in post.

Simply a result of leaving the white balance selector "as shot" in ACR. White balance wasn't touched in post. However, if you read the commentary in both the initial posting, and 8 posts up... you will see why I left it that way. Had nothing to do with whether it could be changed or not. I simply just didn't change it because the cool temp added to the feel of the photo. I'm usually a white balance junky. I fiddle until I think I have it just right. However, in these, it just felt right to leave it the way it was.
