Used tripod

Hi I'm in the market for a tripod. I found this on Craigslist....Bogen Manfrotto 3021 tripod with a 3047 3-way head and two quick release plates. For $65. The seller says its older and shows some wear on the legs but that's it. What do you think? Good deal? It's my first tripod purchase! Thank you.

that tripod is the older version of this one Amazon.com: Manfrotto 055XPROB Pro Tripod Legs (Black): Camera & Photo which I own and like very much. It's not as stable as a much more expensive one but for the price is a good deal. With a head I think $65 is a pretty sweet deal given everything is straight.

Absolutely! Make sure it's in good condition, the leg-segment locks all work properly, leg segments slide up and down, the head moves smoothly, and if it does, grab it!
