I recently went on vacation, and naturally took a lot of photos. these are a few of what i thought were my best photos, but considering i'm a beginner, they could be far from it. any and all comments, criticisms, advice, and compliments are welcome. thanks in advance!

I like the second and third ones (although I don't know what was up with the explosion) the first one is too dark (but I do like the detail in the clouds) and I just don't get the last one

Yes, of course it is. But at the end of the day, it was merely a snapshot wasn't it? A moment in time of a lovely holiday or something similar?

The explosion looks cool, the elephant seems over saturated and the wicked witch of the west is another moment in time as I suspect it's a theme park or Halloween setup. Nothing wrong with any of them.
