Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I'm a brand new photographer, My wife currently owns a nikon d200 and i just purchased a nikon d90. I'm brand new to the photo taking world I just recently became interested in trying it out. I was looking for any advice with my new camera and here are the lens I purchased.

Nikon d90
Nikon 18-55
Tamron 70-300

I hope I did okay with my purchase I'm completely lost with the letters and numbers on the lens I've been doing some reading if someone could point me in the right direction is there some place on the forum that will give me the basics so I can get started on trying to get some pictures. Also any suggestions on photo editing software that is very easy to understand and use.

Thanks all for your help

Read your camera's manual, then read it again. When you finish that, read it one more time. Cambridge in Color has some of excellent tutorials. Start with the basics and work your way through them.

When I started learning photography, I used Auto mode and snapped away at interesting (and even non-interesting) stuff. When I found pictures that turned out well, I looked at the EXIF data to see what settings the Auto mode chose. Then, I switched to manual and used those same settings in the same or similar situations.

In other words, I let the camera teach me. That's how I learned, but your mileage my vary.

When i bought my nikon camera I received a dvd that explained everything to me. Your biggest friends will be the manual and youtube. Study both and you wont have a problem figuring stuff out.
