Video tethering

Good morning. So I am taking a short video. Nothing crazy or high production. Just an intro video for a website. Maybe a minute long. Is there a way to connect my Nikon D3200 directly to my laptop and sort of use my laptop as memory? I dont want to use a memory card just in case I dont have enough space. Thanks

You'll need to install appropriate tethering software on your laptop.

I'm not aware of any computer software that lets you tether a dslr via USB and record directly to the computer. Besides USB works in bursts of data to I doubt you wild get a good video stream out of the camera that way.

There are hardware solutions that would let you capture video coming out of the camera via hdmi, but for making one short video they are not worth the investment.

Unless all your memory cards are really small you are not going to have a problem with storage space, besides memory cards are cheep these days.
