Waiting for a friend to come and for the sun to disappear

Last night, a photographer friend joined me for Milky Way shots. Since he came later in the evening, I took the opportunity to walk up to the summit of the Grand Ballon d'Alsace for sunset. I was blessed with a splendid light.

Sweet evening-time light is always wonderful to see and experience, maybe even shoot a few photos by.

Great set- I would crop out the buildings and the post sign on #3...all 3 would make great wall-hangings!
