I love the richness of colors in the hot climates. Perhaps it is due to the limited paint tints and the ever-present moisture and heat.

I have to confess that I am sometimes so totally non-objective about my own work.
Today, I am my own favorite photographer but of course that is the overlay from the emotional attachment of experiencing the picture in real life.

At most Buddhist temples, anyone if free to sound any bell, usually there is a big wooden post available. I know there is a specific number for official soundings but I think 4 is the number for a casual striking.

According to Buddhist teaching, we have 108 earthly desires that cause us suffering – and by listening to the bells toll, we can dispel each desire, one by one.

I love this image; everything about it has texture. The colors are so elegantly faded. My favorite part might be the dust on the step. But, then there is the texture from the 2 columns, and the peeling walls in the background, and those soft folds in the robe.

It's delicious! :love: I'm happy just looking at it.
