Wakeboarding?

I'm planning on taking pictures of my cousins wakeboarding this summer and I was wondering about what lenses are recommended?

I'm shooting a Nikon D40, only have the 18-55 kit lens, and I have a few hundred dollars to spend. I'm thinking getting the 55-80 4-5.6 AF-S

I used to shoot a TON of wakeboarding and wakeskating and my lens of choice was a nikon 70-300 f4.5-5.6 using the IS for sure!!!!! Have fun!
