Now is a very good time to shop around. £350 will get you a brand new Pentax K100d with lens from some retailers; also look out for Nikon D50, Canon 350D, or Konica-Minolta 5D, all can be had for around the same price. You can pay less of course but this way you buy from a reputable retailer based in the country and know you'll get good service.
