I went out this morning to try and shoot some dragonflies on the water lillies of a local pond, but of course the dragon flies would NOT cooperate. I saw this water lily bud about a foot below the surface and thought it was kind of neat. I like it, but I'm not honestly sure if really works. Thoughts?

Not really doing anything for me, though it does have a pinhole feel to it I think it could be an abstracts with the right cropping.

I think this was probably the position of it as you found it, but I'm wondering about the possibility of turning the frame a bit to give it a better angle. Just not so darned horizontal anyway.

Nice light and color.

Thanks all - I did rotate it so the bud was at the top but I didn't like it as much.

That's fair enough. Just a suggestion. I always prefer flowers to grow "up". It's not a typical pic you'd see, so I'd still say it's a hit.
