Waterproof camera suggestions

I was looking into a waterproof camera to take on vacations. One that I wouldn't mind dropping into a lake, taking for a dip in the pool or down a water side, and most likely snorkeling.

I like the features of the Olympus TG-4.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what they have used and like?
I would say an absolute max of $500.

If you like the TG-4, get the TG-4.

I had the previous Olympus TG camera (which we lost in Florida) it was honestly the best compact camera I have ever had I was gutted to lose it. But the TG-4 you will not regret it.
