Wedding Day

On my sister's wedding day, i was shooting pictures of the preparations and i caught this really nice moment in which my nephew was pretending to set the tie to my brother in law.
I don't usually like to shoot this cheesy moments, but this came out from my camera.

Im not a sappy kinda guy but this is cute, Im sure the bride would love it. I really like the black and white of it and think it came out nice.

If BIL is the main subject, he should have his eyes open.

It might be more precious if the child was the main subject, in which case you should shoot from the other side. Better light on the child's face anyway.

I think it's fantastic. I considered suggesting cloning out background details etc, but I think they add some real vérité to the picture, which is all about a real moment.

I think I would crop a little off the right edge of the frame, to taste. The two heads are in balance with each other, beautifully, but the frame itself is out of whack.

That's exactly why i didn't want to clone out the radiator and the mirror

For the rest of the comments, yeah, there are plenty of things i could have done differently, also the same picture facing my nephew instead of his dad would have probably result into a "cuter" shot, but this was a precious spontaneus moment i feel really lucky of being able to capture it like this-
this doesn't mean it can't be improved. Critiques much appreciated, thanks guys!

Great shot of a very spontaneous moment.

But, you know, according to some, there are a zillion things that you should have done to make this very spontaneous shot better.:chatty:

Amolitor is probably right about a tighter crop, but then again, I have always liked messy, cluttered pictures. They remind of what my own real life is like most of the time.

Life is fleeting, is it not? Sometimes it is nice just to have a camera along for the ride.....
