weird noise?

question - when i was using my camera I had my external on it and something made a weird noise ..it almost sounded like when film rewinds. I never heard any of my cameras make a noise like this. do you think something is breaking?

Are you talking about your external flash? It was probably the flashes zoom head moving to match the lens on the camera??
