Lovely sky BD. We are having the same smoky sky problems here in Alberta that we had last summer when you were in the west, so no glorious sunsets or sunrises.

Sucks. I hear the folks all the way up into BC are seeing the smoke and one meteorologist in NYC posted an image of what he says is smoke from the CA fires. Glad I passed on going out there again this summer.

Right you are! Makes landscape photography interesting, to say the least. Last week, lightening started 132 fires in one night in the BC interior. I suspect that the powers that be will do what they did last year - let the smaller ones burn themselves out as winter approaches as they don't have the man power or the equipment to fight all the little ones. They will concentrate on the bigger ones that are threatening small communities. Would have been a waste of time to come out this summer.
