What camera should I buy?

Hey guys.

I would like to buy an entry level camera. I was thing of Canon 600D but I would rally like if I can fined a smaller camera in dimensions. I'm big on traveling light and I'm ready to lose some the capabilities that a big dlstr brings but I still wold like to be able to take good pictures and be able to tune different properties to create cool effects. I do not want to be a pro but I would like to be able to take a dissent picture when I want to.

Any ideas what might be a good choice for me?

On a side note I'm a complete noob and have never owned a good camera and barely have experience.

The Canon 600D is actually a pretty small DSLR as far as DSLR's go. If you want something smaller, you're not going to have a DSLR, but something more along the lines of an ILC like the Olympus PEN cameras or the Sony NEX's.

you might want to look into micro 4/3 market. They're cheaper, smaller and still come with interchangeable lens. Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1 is a decent one.
