What did you shoot this weekend?

So I roamed around the house looking for things to shoot... nodda. My son laid down for a nap, so I snuck out of the house for an hour to take a few pics. I live in nowhere Indiana... so there's not a whole lot to find it seems when you're on a short budget of time. I ran downtown to see what I might find... did I mention it's bitter cold?

I REALLY wanted to find a snow covered tractor in a field to shoot (we got a fresh snow today), but I couldn't think of where I might find one.

Anyway, this is what I came up with today.

I liked the colors for some reason on this one.

Hey I also live in Indiana. Indianapolis IN. You are right. There is nothing really to take so I just made something up to take. Ran to the store and got some peppers. I thought this would be nice to see color where there is not much color.

Posted these on my Peppers thread, but what the heck, I will post them here to. I would be interested to see many others!

Oh no. It was 30. We just don't have snow here. As a matter of fact I was hoping for a nice snow day so I could take pictures of the snow. I'd rather be in the country somewhere. It seems you can get better nature shots.

OH my! Love the picture, and, love the gun! This is good stuff! This looks like magazine stuff! I mean there is a magazine of the gun laying there. I know you're probably not looking for critique on this one, but the only thing I see is that I would want the whole white box that shows your address to be completely covered up or hidden. I love how the gun is positioned with the name of it from the magazine showing!

Ha, good save. Thanks. I blurred it out. I'm working on a Macbook Pro at 1920x1200 resolution so things are very small... it didn't look visible to me on this machine.

Does it seem obscured enough now?

Background was the night sky - I live in a pretty big city so sky is... well a bit orange on a cloudy night.

Hi all,

I went to my parents' house this afternoon to get some shots in. Unfortunately it was freezing! My fingers and toes were numb before I was ready to be done. So here's the few decent shots I took (if they even are decent).
1. Sun barely shining through the clouds. It almost looks like a night shot.

2. Ice on the stream...I was laying on a sheet of ice to get this one.

3. Playing around with DOF.

4. One of my parents' goats 'Baby'
