I have been doing a lot of macro photography, and landscape. I would like to get into more portrait work, but need to build the experience!

I like to photograph anything that catches my eye, anything that makes me stop and look. However, when I start a business I'll have certain concentrations, because there are things I am better and worse at. Better at landscapes, worse at weddings. However, I've enjoyed all my opportunities to take pictures equally ;) Every picture offers new challenges and experience

The out of the ordinary or make it that way. I am on another forum (Ford ranger Forum) they have a photo contest and this weeks subject was a night shot with parking lights on.
I went to the desert and did star trail shots. Most everyone else just shot their lights in some form or the other.

The only way to build the experience is to do it

I shoot mainly wildlife and landscapes, I too am expanding into portrait work and off camera flash

People, candids. I've only done a couple staged shoots, but I prefer the candidness of candids. :D

Kids make great subjects, mostly because it makes me feel like a kid again.

Bands... however the more I learn, and the more I practice that is expanding a bit. For example I like shooting people (off-stage) a lot more than I ever thought I would. :sillysmi:

I love photographing anything but if I had to do one specific genre for the rest of my life it would be sports. I cannot wait to acquire a D7000 and 70-200mm 2.8 and just have at it with the local sports around here.

noood women. =) I can't help it that im paid for it.

I'm still learning, so still trying to work out what I like and what I don't! At the moment I can say I don't like portraits and landscapes (not the landscapes here in the South of England, anyway!), but I do like long exposure and sea scapes. I'm pretty good shooting birds, even although I don't "love" it. But as there's a lake round the back of our house, it's an easy place to take my son for a walk and try out some shots! Would also like to try some city shots and candids once I can get up to London.
