I'm still learning with my new camera and I don't have a photoshop program yet. What do you think about this?

I like it. Would like it better if I could see the face. Did you crop it ? Good use of space.

It would be much better if we saw the face, the photo was sharper and if there was a little less DOF.

Well I agree with the face thing--BUT I love seeing the wing span of those big birds too

Vespa- yes I did crop it. We were on the boat and we were still behind the bird that's why I couldn't get the face.
Restomage- How would I get a little less DOF? I have a Nikon D3100 and I took this pic with the 55-200mm vr lens. Any suggestions?
Thanks again. I'm still learning about DSLR's. It'll take time but I'll get there.

Correct me if I'm wrong here... To get less DOF, you can zoom in more or increase the aperture. But both of those have some IQ affects if you zoom to the max or increase the aperture to the max (generally speaking though if I remember the reviews of that lens, it applies).
