I keep going back to the first pic. The background is distracting, but the horse looks quite impressive to me. I think I would be scared to get in the ring with him/her. Notice at the bottom how you clipped the hooves off a little? Try to be mindful of details like that when you shoot. I think you are off to a very good start (I'm only about 6 months ahead of you, and I'm sure I'll be 6 months behind in no time.)

Very nice shots from a young photographer. I have a young daughter that I hope to enjoy photography as well. My daughter is now 7, and has a hand-me-down 3 mp Nikon CoolPix 880 with a broken battery door. It is quite a nice camera from around 2000-2001. I'm guessing with the nice weather arriving, she will be carrying the camera around with her more.

I'll tell her tomorrow about this thread and she can get some inspiration from it.
