Seems like a fair price to me. The D50 shoots very nice, peppy SOOC JPEGs. The viewfinder on it is poor however, in the Canon Rebel XT-type class....ie "squinty".

Would you say there is any chance of making a buck or two if I decided to buy the pair only to part them and sell them separately? Id like to have a second body, but with my lens line-up, it wouldnt to much good, for me, without AF.

Well depending on condition shutter trips and what comes with. The D50 goes in the $200-$275 range by itself. The 18-55 non-VR version goes for $80-$90 range and the 18-55VR vesion in the $90-$120 range.
