What Format do You Use for Edited CR2 Photos?

I save my editing files as JPEG and print in that file. I print as large as 17" X 25" with no quality issues at all.

My Adobe Photoshop Elements edits in 8 bit. Does 8 bits really matter for printing or do I need to use more bits such as from regular Photoshop or Lightroom?

I print 8-bit all the time I see no difference from 16-bit
