I don't know for sure, but I think MLeek just got hit with a large amount of real life distractions and work. It does happen as well that people will drift in and out of forums, sometimes other hobbies take over or they get bogged down with other matters. Sometimes they also feel they've outgrown a site or that its no longer suiting their needs.

People come and go - though generally many flit back to here from time to time.
