Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
OK, now that I have calibrated my monitors with the ColorMunki all my photos IMO look to have to much contrast OR to light .. so I am asking what picture looks better to you .. I am looking for Color, Brightness, Contrast etc. etc. I am not asking if you like the photo ..

I'd have to say the first. The second looks a bit underexposed. The blacks are too solid, so theirs not detail in your shadows.

Now I have to ask, is this an artificial (plastic or cloth) flower?

No its real .. It was taken at the Red Butte Garden here in Salt Lake City, Utah.

See the first pic seem washed out to me .. Please you are welcome (and I encourage you) to edit this photo to show me what looks good to you (know this will be open ended lol). I got so used to the way my monitor was displaying that after the calibration I am now lost and trying to find my way back.

Your settings are "My Photos Are NOT OK to Edit".

okay :) I'm at the office though, wont be home to LR3 till 5ish.

Is either of those the original, and did you shoot it in RAW?

OK, If you do edit this photo please let me know what you did. (I am still learning PS) I am sure I will know more about it after the second quarter of collage .. lol

Have you tried Light Room 3. I myself was a gaming design major for 2 years, and learned basically every adobe software there is, and I much prefer light room 90% of the time to PS for basic to intermediate photo PP.

the only Photo Shop program I currently have is Elements .. I will be getting the rest of them threw class .. so

The first one is the original I just resized it for the forums and no they where shot in JPG ..

The second looks oversaturated and darker.

For future shots, RAW allows far more control in PP than JPEG. With RAW all of the data is still in its malleable state, JPEG its almost done hardening and can't really be manipulated very much.

I'll give it a swing when I get home in about 3.5 hours.

The biggest problem with the photos is the harsh lighting.
