I am glad I am not the only one that got peeved by his comment...but at the same time, we are on the internet, in a forum where a lot of people think they are photography gods and like to judge those of us that don't have as much experience. Oh well, such is life I guess!

You know what, he knew exactly what he was doing and was just trying to cause problems.

Either that or maybe hes really too stupid to know what a flamefest like this will start. I doubt that though.

This is not a constructive thread, and not even anything that people can learn something from (like a Canon vs. Nikon thread).

You guys know that I am one of the first to jump and defend people getting picked on, but that is far from whats happening here.

You dont start a thread telling people to shut up, and complaining about everyone in general, unless you are trying to start something...

What your leaving out is that his topic put a bullseye on him.

For example...

If I was to start a thread asking for C&C on some pics, then someone comes in and starts insulting me for no reason, they would be way out of line.

On the other hand...

If I start a thread saying "complain, complain, whine, complain, insult, whine, complain, insult" I would have it coming.

People that start problems, do not deserve to be defended or supported.

You wont ever see me start a pos thread like this...

And if I ever did I would expect the reponse that this type of thing naturally brings.

Dude you have absolutely no idea who you are talking to here, and what I am usually like.

Threads like this winner here, are about the only thing that will bring out the bad in me on these forums. That, and the Luka Magnotta self-worship thread lol (quickly becoming a legend).

Okay i'm posting this here in the beginner forum so it gets the most views, :greenpbl:
I want to start off by giving my shpiel (probably spelled that wrong) on what my issue is with some people these days. Alright so I was just hovering over a thread you all may have seen in here that's quite a big one. It's grown over a little bit of time to become a pretty huge ordeal about a camera upgrade. Now you may think what the heck is this kid talking about, well i'll explain, all the OP wanted to know is what some of you who had experience with pro bodies (D3s,D3x, and D700) would do if you had a D80 and was going to upgrade.
I put in my $0.02 about waiting for a D7000 (his final choice) just to see what would happen in the reviews. Now i'm not by any means saying I answered his question and that I myself solved his dilemma, I definately didn't he made his decision. Now at the end of the thread somebody jumps in with the sly comment, "do you even know how to use your D80? why upgrade when you don't know anything" (that's what it came down to).
This got me pretty worked up, i've seen it come up in many different threads where some people just come on here to call people out. This forum is to help people out and not pick at them for what you think they might or might no know. You have no right to call people out on what they know. If this lady wants to upgrade then let her! Don't sit here and critisize about what you think she doesn't know! I think it's plainly ridiculous for some people to come here and judge others just because they ask a question.

I guess my point here is, if you don't have anything useful to say, or helpful, shut up and write it in a notepad if you want to vent. I think it's ridiculous. Just my personal opinion here and I am well aware that some people will come on this thread and say the exact same thing to me. I know I got a dinky D40x with no selection of lenses but hey, you don't know my financial status, or anything about me so whoa re you to say what I know and what I don't know. Go ahead and do your thing to make yourself feel better.

Hah, no I was definately not trying to start anything here just putting in my 2 cents about what I think personally of people that write useless comments and this thread was me putting in my thoughts. Also a personal opinion here (just like the one I had on the 100 year old photos from Russia) That thread can be a copy and paste from Ken Rockwell. No offense. Just my 2 cents again. All this is, is an opinion, not knowing you, I don't think you understand what i was getting at.

Not to argue but this statement screams reply by the exact people you are targeting. This thread is nothing more or less than what we have seen countless times in just the past 3 months and this thread in itself has no merit because it will do nothing to improve the situation. Click the button as Overread has demostrated then move on, thats the only power of change you have here.
