I don't want to plant the seed... so I just want to ask you all if you see something wrong with this photo. Maybe its all in my head... :blushing:

The pose looks slightly awkward but it's still a pretty good shot I think. Some color in the sky might have helped.

I'm no portrait expert, but it's really not a flattering pose to me. My first impression is she was doubled over ready to start whistling carrots.

Given the chance to change it, I would simply have her sit back onto her heels, straighten up and do something else with her arms. The visual hints that she's wearing more than a two-piece outfit makes me want to see more of it.

But don't take me too seriously. I prefer to shoot leaves & grass & clouds.

Here it is with a little less brightness in the sky, warmer sand, highlights on hair, and tried to darken her arm a little to put less emphasis on it.

I think the pose is a little unnatural, with her left hand on her leg that way. But color, exposure, and everything else looks pretty good. Lighting on the face is a little more contrasty than I like.. but still good.

My girlfriend thinks head looks a little larger that it should (perspective) because of the pose.

thats our take, fwiw! :)

Bingo... you guys got it. :-P
I thought the pose looked a little awkward. I guess what I had in mind didn't really turn out right. Is it really bad? Rez I like your edit. What did you do to the sky and sand? Burn? I love that you brought out the highlights in her hair.

Tan lines just to be nitpicky, I don't mind them but I know some people think they take away from a photo.

Did my edit with "Viveza" - a Photoshop plugin. It's great for making localized edits and works almost like masking, but it's soooo easy to use. You can see by the post times, that edit took less than 5 mins (probably more like 2-3).

If she was sitting back on her heels in the same basic pose.. would probably look great! But leaning forward like that, it just looks posed and awkward. Pretty girl, though! I can always appreciate those! :)

Ugh... i just SUCK at posing! I study poses but when its time for the shoot everything goes out the window! Plus I have a hard time explaining what I want :P

I just downloaded the free trial. Im going to play around!

Head should be either staight or tilted in the other direction, and should have had better lighting coming in from the right. That shadow of her arm is a little distracting. The pose is pretty akward. With her hand on her hip like that it looks to me like she needs a restroom break. As far as PP goes, just saturate the colors a little bit, smooth the skin and then sharpen the eyes.

With all that being said, this is NOT a bad picture, it is a good shot! I'm just being picky and all of that is just my opinion anyways.
