What kind of macro ???

I might be on the market for a new macro. Our old sigma 50mm f2.8 is not working. The focus is seized up on it. If it's going to cost to much to repair, I'll be looking for a new one. I am using a sony A-200, the sigma is VERY old, probably close to 10 years so it's definately payed for itself. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what make I should buy ???

Not sure if I want to go sigma after reading some of the posts in here about the troubles people have had with sigma lenses.

Has anyone used either one or both of these lenses? Is the problem I mentioned about the sigma lenses true for all their lenses?

I've never had any problems with any of the Sigma lenses I've ever owned.

People are more likely to post if they have had an issue, not if a product has been problem free. In other words for every person that had a problem, there are hundreds (or thousands) of other that didn't, and had no reason to post anything.
