Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So I found some pictures that someone must have dropped in a park near me, and they were soaked in water from the ground. They were very aberrated and distorted. The colors of the print was literally peeling off in layers. They layers are clearly Red, Yellow, and Blue. I dried them off and took them home because I want to figure out how to replicate it with my own prints. I poured regular water on it, and sure enough it works. I can smudge the colors and peel them with my finger or pen. This doesn't happen with regular prints that i have. The photos are 5x7 and i think they are enlargements (not sure if it was done in a lab or just printed on a printer). The back of the print just says kodak professional paper. Essentially, I want to know how they were printed so that i can do it with prints and aberrate the colors to designs of my choosing. Here's some pictures of the pictures.

Those are chromogenic prints (C-prints).

C-prints have 3 light sensitive color emulsion layers: cyan, magenta, and yellow (CMY, or better known as CMYK, the K being for black).

An image is projected onto the light sensitive sheet of paper using red, green, and blue light (RGB), usually LED's today.

The paper is then processed in a couple of chemicals (RA-4 chemistry) to develope the print.

The CMYK color model is a subtractive color model while the RGB color model is an additive color model.

Info on all the above can be perused at Wikipedia.org.

I think the decay makes them even more beautiful. Especially #1.

If I had found them I'd probably have matted and framed them already.
