What lens is this and what is it worth?

Does anybody know what lens this is? I don't know much about camera equipment. I think it's an old lens. Also does anyone know what I could get for it?

It says Tamron Adaptall 2 for Nikon and 85-205mm 1: 3.8 and macro focusing and auto zoom

It is an old zoom lens from the film days. Back then it was cheap and not worth much -- gone downhill since. Take it to Goodwill and claim $30.00 on your taxes and I won't tell the IRS if you won't.

The lens cap may say Tamron but the lens says Vivitar 85mm-205mm 1:3.8. Its an ancient manual focus zoom lens for 35mm Nikon film cameras.
