What lens should I use to get close focus?

I have a Nikon D40 with the standard lens. When I place the camera very close to the object, I could not get focus on it. What lens should I use to get focus when the camera is very close to the object?

But if OP has a D40 with a standard lens, will a 58mm fit that thread?

Is it Macro or Micro lense? All the lenses in the link you provided are "Micro". What is the difference in between?

No difference. Micro = Macro. That's just what Nikon calls it.
