Sometimes, the image(s) posted is(are) not really my cup of tea, so I don't offer C&C. If there's something seriously amiss, I'll jump in, though.

I too, will only offer C&C if I have something worth while to contribute. I won't offer it if what I want to say has already been said, as to not duplicate efforts. It's been important for me to give C&C, so I can better critique my own stuff. I also won't give C&C to someone who has a history of...shall we say...not taking it well.

i only c&c bad photos so i feel like i know what im doing

Pretty much only if I can offer something constructive.
If I just hate everything about a pic, I just move along and say nothing.

If I like some and not others, I'll try explain why.

If I really like a shot and still cannot over anything but "I love this" I still may reply if the image is really well done.

That's about it.

I really don't feel like my opinion holds much weight because I'm such a beginner. If it's glaringly obvious and no one has said anything, I might say something. I try to critique so I can learn too. If there's a thread with a lot of replies, I look at the photos and try to see if I can guess what was good, bad, or otherwise. I also try and chime in because I don't want to be the needy person all 'look at MY stuff' without offering anything back.

It's a good thing anyone can disregard what I say, eh? Haha.

As a distinct newbie I tend to comment only when something's blatantly obvious or when something really catches my eye, and then only when no one else has really offered any comments. If there are already several responses I figure I'll just be repeating something that someone more skilled in the art has already said.
