What photoshop would anyone recomend?
There seems to be quite a few out there.

What's your budget, that is the biggest question. And what are you intending to do with it. If it's just general photo stuff then get Lightroom. If you're really into replacing parts of photos and so on get the CS5 and if it's a bit of both get Lightroom and Elements.
