what the hell is that?

I see more and more people using the Portrait professional plugins and i was quite curious to see what it can do.

The first picture is a picture that i did about a year ago.
I did some skin smoothing and blemishes removal and a few other things but it took me some times in cs.

the second picture is what i did with the application in 1 minute.

I did test the appllication a litte bit more and WHAT THE HELL. Its pretty impressive.

the cool thing about it is that you can turn that feature off so you dont get the face shape change.

While I'm impressed by the high level of specialization (on portraits) reached by the software, I'm not sure I like the overall idea. Some smoothing of skin defects might be good, but I personally prefer to see some signs of life in a face. Examples on the software site are excessive...
Said in other words: your model is nice even in the first picture .

I prefer the first one. The one done by the software looks too processed. I like to see some texture in the skin -- you know, so it looks like skin . But I guess there's something to be said about one-minute post processing.

 

[Light Artisan]

I tried it... spent a couple minutes with it and it is pretty cool - and very easy to use.

Of course I overdid it, but I can see it being a helpful editing tool.
