I have found that the lighter I travel, the less stress involved. I'd go just the 35mm. It's light, easy to stuff in your handbag, and you'll learn a lot about just shooting the 35mm.

OK, so back from the trip. Here's the breakdown.

35mm - perfect for the party itself. No group shots, just shots of smiley faces.
12-24 - great for scenic shots in and around town. missed having the 105 as there were some awesome macro shots I could have taken!!

But overall, I am happy with the 12-24 and 35mm lenses I took.

Could have gotten away with just the 35mm, or even a 50mm if I had one.

But yes, like the previous reply - make the most of 1 lens, travel light, and learn how to use it
