Why not use your own website, so that you don't have to send your clients away from you site?

None.

Clients buy more when you sell in person. A lot more, if you know anything about selling.

With online galleries they can usually just copy the photos and/or just have all their froends and family look at them online, so they don't need to buy as much from you.
