Whats the difference?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but whats the difference between the two?

Apparently UD means: Ultra-low dispersion glass used to correct chromatic aberration.

If the other isn't labeled as such, then I would assume it doesn't use the same thing.

Someone smarter than me can correct me if I'm wrong.

Canon only makes one 18-135mm lens. So they are both referring to the same lens.

While it does have UD elements, the 'UD' is not part of the lens's name.

White box means the lens was originally part of a kit, was removed from the kit, and is being sold by itself. The box is white because it is not the original box the entire kit was in.
