What's up with the Canon S100?

I was thinking about picking one of these up to keep in my pocket, but they're not available anywhere online or in-store. There seems to be some kind of issue on Canon's end. Does anyone know what's going on here?

It's not even in full production yet. It was in PRE-Production as of September and expected to be available in November... I'd say any day, but with the tsunami and flooding? I can't even venture a guess. COULD be in time for Christmas... Could be the third day of never at this point. Hard to say!

Best Buy has been getting small shipments regularly, you just need to check every store within whatever distance you're willing to travel to on a DAILY basis. I got one a couple weeks ago, the worker I spoke to said they've had several shipments and are usually sold out within a day.
