Where did the time go?

Had a great day Sunday weather wise and talked my daughter into being my model again. She is growing up too fast.

Any thoughts?

Thoughts? Double barrel shotgun, preferably a long tom 12 or better yet 10 gauge. Shovel, good supply of lime and quick setting concrete. Big backyard is a bonus. You must begin to prepare yourself for the worst. Dating. Ugh. Take it from a father of 3 girls. I wish you well my friend.

The only thing I would have done differently is to move myself to the left and take that shot. That way the fence would be more of a diagonal line and more pleasing.
The way you shot this, the fence is splitting the frame in the half and since it's a white fence it gets more attention then it should.

And... she's beautiful

I have a three year old girl and 1.5 year boy... I think they're growing fast... yesterday she was at the dentist for the first time... can't imagine when they grow up....

My daughter has twin girls, 40 acres and several shovels. They don't have a shotgun yet but they do have my old .357 model 27 (6" barrel). They're also planning on running hogs in the woods so that may be a better option than concrete and a hole, all evidence will be gone and digested in a couple of days. Daddy is a 6' 5" farmer built like the proverbial Victorian public convenience. The girls also have twin big brothers 3 years older - so I doubt there will be too many problems.

From the looks of your young lady I can see you need to start acquiring the necessary equipment, you don't have too long to go before the fun starts.

.... As for the photo, I'm not sure about the use of the fence as a background, it seems to me that she's quite slim and the fence seems to emphasise that.

Maybe a different angle for the fence and that might also eliminate the bush growing out of her head too.

Thank you all for the comments. I have begun to prepare for what's to come, I don't have to like it but I'm preparing.

Thank you for the suggestions on the posing. I will have to try to move around next time we go to that location. This was a gazebo and I was sitting in the middle, I will have to try getting to the edge next time to get the leading lines pointing to her.

Granddad, if she has that much room she can probably pre-dig a few with a back-hoe. Its's lot quicker and if anybody asks, septic system = generally keeps the idly curious away. Not that I'm speaking from experience.. lol

Great photo

I've got 3 sons and one daughter.

I think one tool a photographer needs in their camera bag is a chainsaw, so that one can chop all the people height tall foliage down where they are taking photos. This will prevent the bush behind the head issue.

In regards the actual picture - there is way too much competition for attention here - bright areas in background, intense white patterned fence, vivid pattern on shirt.

And what's the lesson here kids? Always resoect your elders, especially those with pig farms.
